The Solano Coalition for Better Health (SCBH) is a non-profit organization formed in 1988 to address the healthcare issues of Solano County's growing number of medically uninsured, underinsured and MediCal populations. The focus of the Coalition is to improve the health and quality of life in Solano County by sharing resources through effective partnerships.

The Solano Kids Insurance Program (SKIP), a program of the SCBH, was implemented in June 1998 as a comprehensive outreach strategy emphasizing insurance for kids. It is a centralized one-stop health insurance resource for uninsured kids and their families in Solano County. SKIP's focus is on families at 300% of the Federal Income Level or below.The development of SKIP is in keeping with one of the SCBH's priority goals to assure health care access for all Solano County residents.
